Yes, H a l l o w e e n may be 2 months & 7 days away BUT it is one of my favorite times of the year. So , right around now seems like a great time to start coming up with costume ideas. During my search, I started looking for Sammy too. This being his first Halloween, we need to find the perfect costume for him and his personality. I came across a bunch of different dog costumes BUT four really stuck out. Take a look..
thanks for your help, we’ll keep you posted with our final decision!

This past weekend myself & 8 others went on a little road trip to NH. After a long 4 hour drive we finally arrived at Attitash Mountain. The weekend with filled with amusement parks, hanging out in a cabin, alpine slides, drinks, games & family dinner.
I video taped a little of one of the alpine slides we went on, I almost lost my phone trying haha 🙂
Hope your having a great week!

Never to Far Away.
Have you ever been forced to make a decision that would change your life?
Growing up, I have been faced with a number of decisions, but none like this one. On July 25th, I was asked to join the English Lacrosse program in London, England for a seven month term. Here I would get the chance to showcase my talents and teach others what I have learned throughout the years. For most, this decision would come as a no brainer; however for me it was not that simple. Of course going to London to play lacrosse, a sport I have been playing my entire life sounds like a dream come true. But, one thing stands in the way, my family. For those of you that know us and read feathers&fairytales, you know that we are very family oriented. Often referred to as the Kardashians, there is never a time we are not there for one another. Whether it is, showing up at sporting events, school activities, or just being there in a time of need, my family continues to support me 100%. If I ever need someone to talk to, someone to calm me down or to simply help me focus, they are there. Which is why I needed to know they my family was willing and able to support me in whatever decision I made. My mom and dad have always motivated me to do better for myself. They instilled the importance of following your heart and more importantly making something out of life. In the end, I knew it was ultimately my decision to make. I thought long and hard about this opportunity. It was clear to me that this was something I could only dream about; therefore I had to do it. This is a life changing experience, which I believe will only open the door to a bigger and brighter future. Although I will be out of my comfort zone and missing my family like crazy, I feel as though I need to complete what I set out to do when I was younger which is, follow my heart and finish what I have started. Edgar A. Guest once said, “life is what we make it”. Therefore, I encourage you to go after your goals, don’t be afraid to take risks. If you never try, then you never know what your life can become.

I have not been faced with a cooking challenge since my dad challenged me to a Homemade Mac & Cheese throw-down 2 years ago, which we won’t talk about …(he won haha). Yesterday at work I was talking about how I was planning on making Chili for dinner, when I was asked by Ben Cimmino to go head to head with him in a ‘Chili Off’. Without hesitation I replied, “YES, bring it“. Now, I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous…Ben had been bringing in three course home-made meals for the last week. Although, every-time I have made chili in the past I have only received positive reviews (one even as going as far to say the best chili they have ever tasted). So with that: my mind quickly altered back to… I have this in the bag!
THE RULES:
1. You may make any kind of Chili you want (ex. chicken, steak, turkey)
2. Both Chili’s must arrive at work in the same kind of Tupperware
3. No one is to see the Chili before the voting
THE FACTS:
1. I spent HOURS over the stove… I should have used the crock pot
2. My chili turned out a little thicker then usual because I over cooked it, nerves got to me
3. Taia kept coming in the kitchen & asking me how it was coming, I asked her to try a bite and let me know how it tasted…her facial expression after trying it made me even more nervous. Needless to say, she has never tried chili nor knows what it is supposed to taste like. PHEW
THE CHILI HAS ARRIVED
(do not mind the horrible table-cloth at our office)
I was SO caught up on everyone’s reaction that I forgot to take a picture of the chili. Surprisingly, they both looked exactly ALIKE! However, Ben decided to use ground sirloin, the crock pot & hot peppers. I choose to use ground turkey & simmer mine on the stove with a pinch of heat.
Within 5 minutes, they were both gone & the votes were in…

I WON! It was a close one 83-76. Good Job Benny!
